Row 1: Juyeon Ines Lee, from Seoul, South-Korea, walked the camino from Roncesvalles to Santiago in January 2009. Jack and Juyeon met in the "Hostal de los Reyes Católicos" and kept in contact. Juyeon knows well what pilgrims who come from very far experience while walking (on a low budget) through Spain. (Pictured in the Hostal in SDC).
Herminia runs a shop / restaurant / casa rural / new refuge (open in December 2009) in Campiello, Asturias, on the Primitive Road between Tineo and Pola de Allande.
Leon Baken is a computer programmer who lives in the southern part of Holland. He designed our FLASH BANNER.
Dietmar Völkel is a mine-worker from Dortmund, Germany. Jack and Dietmar first met at the albergue in Artieda (Aragón) and later in Santander. They walked together, and since then they keep in contact. Dietmar is a long distance walker: no less than 1000 kms at a time! (Pictured in Cantabria).
Row 2: Dr. Stefanie K. Winter received her degree from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She walked from Burgos to Santiago in January 2008. Jack and Stefanie met near Villafranca del Bierzo. The Camino Handbook became the first guide to offer professional medical advice.
Ginés Pérez lives in Oviedo (Asturias). Here he is pictured near Tineo. He provides updates on Oviedo and (regional) Asturias. Picture taken in August 2009 by Jack de Groot, on his way from Salas to Campiello.
Prof. Dr. Alain Saint-Saëns is the managing director of the University Press of the South in New Orleans USA. Jack and Alain wrote Cantos paraguayos. Poemas de libertad together. Alain coordinated the printing process, and also proofread the Handbook.
Raquel Sanjuás works as a receptionist in Hostal La Salle in Santiago de Compostela. She keeps Jack informed about what goes on in Santiago. Both met numerous times.
Row 3: Emily Burns - Higley is one of our proofreaders. She lives and works in New York. She specializes on "Website Ethics".
Andreas Schuehler lives in Leipzig, Germany, where he organizes big events together with his Russian wife. He is a veteran pilgrim. Jack and Andreas met in March 2009, just before Burgos. (Pictured on the plaza in front of the cathedral).
Rebekah Scott is the proofreader of the Handbook. She lives with her husband Patrick in Moratinos, some 12 kms before Sahagún, where she runs a guesthouse for pilgrims.

Row 4:
Dina Ugarte is our contact person in La Rioja. She runs the best restaurant on the Camino in La Rioja. It is named "El Buen Yantar" and is situated in the old town centre of Nájera, 30 kms west from Logroño. In Nájera: just cross the bridge and enter the second street on your left. Specialties: charcoal-grilled meat and fish. Pilgrim Menu available. Very good garlic soup and grilled fresh salmon. Magnificent salads. (See pictures on www.jackdegroot.com / my top 10)
Jesús Hernandez. lives near Torres del Río in La Rioja. He is a veteran of the camino.
Unai Esparto lives in Pamplona and works in Viana. He provides updates on Navarra.
Inge and Eugene Carroll live in Denmark. They provide information on all roads to Santiago, in particular on the Vía de la Plata from Granada. Jack met them both in January 2010, between Rabanal del Camino and SDC.
